this was the place i spent almost every alternative weekends in the early 1990s, watching every home match during the Malaysia Cup days... i had season tickets for the grandstand... had to start queuing outside the stadium at 4pm for the 8pm kick-off so that we can sit at the best seats... the front row right in the center of the the grand stand, just above the tunnel where the players walk through...
this was the place that i first watched my beloved liverpool football club played (before i went anfield)... and the only time i saw Jamie Redknapp and Robbie Fowler played live!!!
this was also the place i performed for Singapore Youth Festival... really an experience that you can't forget...
it is sad that we will have to say farewell to a place of memories... so today's tribute was really special... if only Singapore won the game... still happy to see Harry Kewell score :)

wow.. it actually looks really spectacular!
yes it was... besides the sucky sound system (what's new at all these events right?), i was pretty impressed by the scale of the event. ohh...and this is the first time i saw fireworks at the National Stadium (although it was a very short one compared to those National Day). think you will be busy taking pix if you were there!
