happy anniversary...

27th june 2002... i started a new chapter of my life... became part of a new family of mine...

today is my official 5th year in the company... i've went through highs and lows with this job... i've been to weddings and 1st month celebrations of my colleagues... i've seen friends joining and leaving the company... i've gone through high sales and low transactions... all these big and small events have mould me to be what i am today... from a greenhorn of the industry, raised to a senior and now a brand manager... how i've grown...

wonder what is next when i flipped to the next chapter of my life-long storybook...

hectic weekend...

i haven't had so much plans on a weekend for such a long time already... and the funny thing was... i haven't been going to Orchard for for a while but both my appointments were at Orchard! haha


saturday - went to Vivo City for tim sum lunch with my family... mom likes the food there and since we hardly went out with her, i don't mind treating her to places she like once in a while... hehe... coz i like the food there too... haha...


this was followed by meeting up the poly gang for karaoke session at party world at international building. it has been years since our group went for karaoke... so it was quite fun to hear each other sing again! anyway, we met up to celebrate E and G's birthdays... we also updated each other with impt news... like G is having a baby gal! so all those mommies this year from my poly gang are mom to girls... E receiving her first bouquet of flowers this birthday... ADV has a new boyfriend from Nepal... then we went for dinner at Far East Plaza's Sakura restuarant... like G said... just like good old days when we were in school...


sunday - today was a meeting with an ex-colleague WL and went for hi-tea with her, my sis and the young SQ gal... went to Goodwood Park, missed the kueh pie tees! hehe... guess the number of pie tees i ate! a total of 15pcs!! haha... after which... i was quite full alr... hehe...


oh well... it is quite fun... bad for the pocket, but i quite enjoy the leisure chit chats...

the annual PR event

every year, my bosses will organise an agency appreciation dinner for both creative and media agency and our marketing teams. it is like an annual PR dinner, which could be fun pending which table you are sitting at...

table 1 - the vip table with all the bosses... definitely not the table to be at... all talks about work... not the place to be for a friday dinner...

from what show to catch to my attitude towards life, from what course to study... to which job to take... from what nail coulour to wear to which football team to support...

making decisions are never easy... most of the time, i hate to make decisions... even as simple as where to go for lunch. life will be such a breeze if we never have to make decisions...

so should i stay home this weekend???

an sms came this afternoon... announcement of the arrival of baby alyssa, born at 1016hrs, weighing in 4.1kg...

congratulations to jean... sorry that i can't go visit you at JB, looking forward to pictures of baby alyssa...

by right, this should be baby no. 5! but it seems like Cyn's baby beat Jeanette to it!

went to visit Cyn today. baby kayla was soundly asleep when i reached. so here the pix i took, without disturbing her...

baby kayla was born on mon evening... look at her hair, so long, so thick and jet black for a newborn! so lucky! eyes are big like mommy!

this is quite strange as i was the only one in the group that visited her... and i was never the closest to her... oh well, like i told my sis, if someone thot of me (i.e bothered to inform me on one of the biggest event of her life), i will definitely make an effort to go and share the joy...

shopping on monday

its a bliss to be able to shop on a monday afternoon... the best way to beat the monday blues...
no one to fight with you at the changing rooms, no long queues at the cashiers, no big shopping bags knocking into you while looking at stuff, no mad rush at all... puts you in a great mood to try more stuff, and buy more stuff...

today's shopping list includes a Swatch watch (yes... again), a DP top, a long jacket from M&S ($50 from the UP of $270!!!) even though i don't think i will wear it that often, another eeyore plush (actually a set including piglet and pooh).

how i wish i could take half day leave for every monday... or even everyday! Haha... but that will not be healthy for my wallet... :)
