high and low end of chinese cuisine

haven't have much to update for the week except yes... liverpool is thru to the semi-finals of champions league after a thrilling game against arsenal! woohoo!

so what's up this weekend? more food bites for this blog! haha...

planned for dimsum with my family on saturday... yes.. its at tung lok again... it was pouring heavily and the usual great view of sentosa was totally gone...
because of the weather, i suddenly felt like drinking soup. so we ordered a set lunch which included 2 timsum and some dishes. ate so much that it was able to last me till really late night (yup, didn't eat dinner!) here are some of the yummy dishes...
lotus root soup - one of my all-time favourite soup
banana prawn fritters and 腐皮卷 on the background
barbeque combination
prawns in black pepper and white wine cream sauce
the healthiest of the lot! stir-fry vegetables. that's my sis's fav jellyfish at the background
while i had my usual 杨枝甘露, mom had the dessert special - chilled snow lotus seeds with lily bulbs and red dates served in young coconut. the chinese name sound like something found in chinese martial art shows because of the 天山雪莲! lol!

moving on... we went for our grocery shopping after lunch and saw prawns on offer. so suddenly decided to make some dumplings for sunday. haven't done that for a while, always feel tired during the weekend. just quite wasted that i couldn't water chestnuts, so lost the crunchy feel to it.

the finished product

the cooked 水饺/shrimp dumplings

this was my dinner - homemade 水饺面
