its really freaky! one of my colleague told me out of the blue that she came across my blog while surfing the net one day... i was super shocked as i never thot out of thousands or millions of blogs around the world, someone i knew could actually find my blog... furthermore, i chose a name not easily associated with my real name...
now it worries me, do i need to be extremely careful with what i blog? will people that i don't want to know my deeper thoughts come across my blog? oh well, it can't be helped...
so ms CS, if you are reading this posting, don't pass around my blog address hor!
Weird Blog title? Nah... Just wanted a space to write about my two fave activities - Travelling and Football! But after so many postings, I realised that food is one of the most talked about topic in my blog!

little monday "cheer-me-ups"
the monday back at work after a holiday / overseas trip is never something to look forward to.
i sort of dragged my feet to the office... but when i got to my desk, i found 2 little gifts on my desk! hey, i thought i was supposed to be the "santa claus" since i am the one overseas... so it was a surprise to see pressies for moi!
first was a eeyore bookmark from SC... then there was a little eeyore keychain from those "tikam" machines from RL... So sweet of them to think of me when i am away :) thanks gals! Especially with such a hectic day today, it sure cushioned the lousy day i had...
time to find something to look forward to or i will be super moody...

donuts surprise...
yes yes... another trip, another donuts discovery...
imagine... a bunch of singaporean gals got off the taxi at discovery mall, first complaining that it is like another mall in singapore when we saw signages for places like topshop, m&s, sogo etc... then suddenly we spotted this...
donuts galore... my fav... glazed donuts to die for
happy gals with their donuts!

a night of nostalgia
went for a really fun concert tonight! yes... i was at the Grasshopper concert!
we were laughing at each other about the age groups we are in... Grasshopper was hot when i was in school... so always thot ppl who are interested in their concert will be those born in the 70s. but the person that initiated this little gathering was born in the 80s. so i went to watch with my sister and 3 colleagues... of which 2 were 80s babies. and the interesting part... 80s babies were screaming the loudest!
it was definitely the most entertaining 3 hours... they sang almost all the songs that i knew plus many others that i dun! the fast numbers were really good... they proved that you can still have a great bod, great dance moves and great chemistry with the crowd. they really put newer "pop idols" to shame. they danced and sang non-stop... had 2 encores... for the first time, no ushers came to ask ppl to sit down... it was really like a big party... happy dancing too (all ages - even the old uncle with white hair behind us!)
sigh... the good old days... time to dig out all the Grasshopper CDs... or even time to buy some!

Mother's Day shopping...
haven't been updating my blog for a while... realised there wasn't much happenings in my life! alright... i lead a boring life...yawn yawn...
so what happened during the absence of any entries? went to watch Spiderman 3... also went to a media event at sentosa's cafe del mar - a really cool place to hang out but can be quite depressing seeing bikini clad / beach babes serving you drinks... thank god we went from the office in my office attire! haha... also had a mini celebration dinner at hog's breath to celebrate mermaid getting her driving license! oh yes... i have been coughing non-stop for more than a week! wish i could take a day off to rest, but then i seemed to have lots of stuff finished at work. yes yes... mermaid will say "who ask you to be the responsible one?" haha.
anyway... its Mother's Day today, and we ate at Tung Lok's Signature at VIVO City. had some really good tim sum and being a sucker with discount cards... i now have a Tung Lok member card. looks like i will be dining at the tung lok's group of restaurants more often...
after spending almost $300 at tung lok, i proceeded to more card swiping at M&S, bought a pair of shoes at $79 and other stuff like lingerie and chips! sigh sigh... its supposed to be mother's day, why am i spending more money then my mom! haha...

its such a small world...
this is so funny... the world is so small... just realised my new colleague - the lame one (haha.. our affectionate nickname for her) actually knew my god-cousin... and how did we find out? from msn... this is so weird... i would never have guess anyone i worked with to know someone from my family... strange but true... singapore is a really small city!
